Letter of referral – For Tammy Hughes, speaker on “Gender Differences”
In 2005, Tammy was invited to present to the Novartis Female Leadership Forum, an audience of 200+ senior female leaders across different functions, from 20+ different countries. Her presentation, about Gender Differences impact on leadership styles was phenomenal. The feedback we received from participants at that time was so overwhelmingly positive that we invited Tammy to present the same concepts again to the Forum in 2007. This time the audience included male leaders, too. Again, 90% of respondents rated Tammy as a good, very good, or excellent speaker.
Tammy's distinctive strengths are:
- Extremely well documented expertise in the topic: Tammy provides a data-rich, fact- dense talk that is both inspiring and thought-provoking, and has a deep scientific knowledge about Gender Differences. Personally, her insights have remained in my memory and made a tangible difference in the way I relate to my male co-workers.
- Superior presentation skills: Tammy is gifted in presenting data in a simple, clear, meaningful and humorous manner. She can condense a wealth of knowledge into 1 hour and present it with such liveliness that time seems to fly. She is able to do this without showing a single slide.
We are glad that Novartis managers could benefit from Tammy's valuable insights on how to bridge the 'gender gaps' that we sometimes encounter in both our professional and personal lives.
Veronica Denti,
Global Brand Manager, Novartis AG.
Volunteer member of the Novartis Female Leadership Forum 2007 organization team
November 14, 2006
"It was truly a great event and workshop that you provided for us, but your synergy was so overwhelming that we are still talking about the differences between men and women in business. This was probably the best event that we have had in 2006, and I hope that their are plans to have you back in the near future, and Michael, Pedro and myself want to congratulate you on job well done."
